I read the book called Emily Windsnap and the Monster from the Deep. This book was very creative with fantasy, and imagination. The setting and the main character’s environment kept my imagination going.

This book is basically about how Emily and her family moved to a new habitat and what Emily’s life is like because in the beginning of the book she kind of talks about what her new home is like and describing what it is like out there . Later on in the book Emily describes how she discovered that she was a mermaid. She says when she went swimming with her school as soon as her legs hit the water pink and green sparkling lights started lying around her legs and a tail had formed since Emily’s dad is a merman that is what gives her the ability to turn into a mermaid and since her mom is human she is able to have legs.

Some strengths from this books was how love; this was shown when Emily was and her friends came to her rescue. Another strength was family. Emily’s parents loved her very much. Some weaknesses was adding more to when Emily was taught the “sirens of the sea” which is kind of like a whale sound. Although Emily was taught how to use it from her father, she never used it in the story.

My rating for this book is 9 because I really liked this book.I found it to be pretty with how the story came together. One thing I found interesting in this book is that when ever Emily’s tail transforms pink and green lights flew around her and the fact that she is a mermaid.
